Nothingness

Wow! The past few days have been a swirled mix of a 3 yr old who is trying my patience, a 1 yr old who is cutting THREE teeth, and PMS..... NOT a good mix! So I ordered some school books for E, maybe a little more structure will help him level out. I've just had the wanna goes lately, where I just want to go run the roads kid free for a night, or even better yet, a weekend away with my sweet husband. This weekend 2 more kids are added to our mix, my little sisters are staying here with us while our parents work. R is 9 years old, and LG is 6, but the up side to that is the girls keep my boys entertained, they LOVE playing together. Maybe I will catch a break after all? Who knows?

Handsome Princes and Yellow Snow

This is a little late, but hey I am posting it! My sweet little J had his first birthday party this is a picture of his cake. My mom and I made it.

We had lots of people at our house. It was pure insanity, I LOVED IT! We had a whole bunch of balloons blown up, they were a hit.

I think our sweet little prince had a wonderful birthday!

Well I guess the Devil is giving out sleigh rides, cause the Saints won the Super Bowl, and it has snowed 4 times here in the deep south this year. I can't believe it... We really got a snow! 5 inches is a WHOLE LOT here, where it is usually shorts and flip flop weather by now. Oh well maybe by next week, if you don't like the weather here it changes every day, seriously! 5 inches of snow one day, 2 days later it is like 70 degrees outside. NUTS! The boys loved playing in the snow, and each even had their own snow man.

Well we played outside forever, and E says, "Mommy, I have to go pee pee..." and I think GREAT, now I have to haul them both in, before could get J up and inside E has pulled his pants down and is trying to go pee with snow covered mittens... He said "Mommy my booty is so cold." I asked him to please hurry up before someone drives by or a peesicle forms or something. Well a little while later he starts running around the yard picking up bunches of snow eating it, over in that general area. At that moment I said a phrase that I never thought I would say with out it being a joke.... "DON'T EAT THE YELLOW SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" To which he responds... "But why?" I wanted to do the Doh! head slap... I gave him a very clarifing answer... "Ask your Dad!" Maybe he learned a life lesson that day, I sure did... Boys will try to eat anything...

P.S. If anyone knows how to spellcheck in blogger please let me know!

Update!

Well, Thank God the boys have stayed well for a while, even after being exposed to a stomach bug on several occasions. Also, finally made it home from the coast on Feb. 6th, in time for our Super Bowl party and to watch the Saints win! After I finished that I have been working on the bonnets and aprons for a friend of mine's childs birthday. That is kinda a sore subject. She sorta expects me to still help her decorate and do all that while she planned the party while I will be out of town... Niiiiiiiiiiice. So I have been busting my tail to get 11 bonnets and aprons done by Thurs. She seems to turn her nose up at any shortcut I try. Oh well! I have discovered a few, and decided that I will not be consulting her, since I am making them just to be nice. Also she has had an attitude with me lately. But, that is a whole nother story. Josiah has been babbling more and more, and Elijah has been as stubborn as ever.

Then on to Valentine's day, my sweet honey did very well with my gift! He knows how much I love the beach, well he got a palm tree, chocolate, a book, and some sand with a glass bottle stuck in it with the most amazing letter in it. So very sweet. I will try to post more often, but, I am not making any promises!

Busy, Busy, Busy

WOW! That is all I can say. This past weekend we celebrated J's 1st birthday. Around 40 were at his party, and then Sunday I traveled with my DH's parents to help them get ready for their move... with both boys... in a house that is not used to children being in it... A whole lot of .. NO NOT THATS! and stuff like that.. I really do want to be able to help though and I do stay home, so I am able to help.

Tonight is the second night here, and I had dinner ready when they got home from work, just trying to be nice and helpful and all... well I half-jokingly said to DH's dad , " I cooked so you get to do the dishes thats the rule at our house." Well he popped off some smart butt response like, " well your husband works a full time job you should be more useful." To which I felt like I had just been slapped, here I am 3.5 hours away from home, cooking dinner for my husband's family, and he is going to jump down my throat like that. Now, I am not a crier, and I came really close. I probably should have let myself cry, my mother in law ( who is a really awesome lady by the way) would have totally gone off on him. But, like I said, I am here to help them, and try to be useful. So tomorrow I will be rewiring some electrical outlets and things like that... as well as pricing some stuff for the garage sale they are having this weekend.. But, I need to be more useful... riiiiiiiiiiiight, of course!

Well, Friday and Saturday we will be having a garage sale here, then the boys and I will head home. I need to be home by Saturday night, to get things ready. Church is Sunday morning, then the Super Bowl is Sunday night, and we are having a Super Bowl party. So, lots and lots to do... I already am sorta ready to go home. I mean I had all of the kids toys cleaned up and dinner cooked and he is gonna bite my head off??? Oh, JOY! Only 5 more days...
